ENGLAND'S SIDE.
Warner'* Consents.
LONDON. Feb. 10.— 'PImn' Warner,
discussing England's test -team, . declares
that last year s form makes Hobbs, Sut
cliff, Hammond and Woolley the first four
-atsmen. Some- would add Hendren on
his brilliant form in the West Indies, while
Wyatt, Leyland and ' Duleepsinhji come
readily to mind.
Chapman, as captain, met the Austral
ians in. five tests and won themall^ but
he needs to lose a stone or two in weight.
Warner ventures to suggest 'a rigorous
course of training. He disagrees with the
statement that England is badly off for
class bowler! and mentions Robing, Peebles
Voc'e, Allen and Goddard as outstanding
possibilities. Robins and' 'Peebles were
roth spin googlies, Voce was a fast left
harider, with plenty of 'deyil.' Allen was
fast and Goddard was able to keep down
runs on a good wicket,; and skittle the
opposition when the turf' was false. Tate
and Iiarwood who were, the spearhead
of the attack in Australia, had had too
much bowling, but they riaay- , return
strongly .after a rest.
