SUNDAY CONCERTS.
To the Editor.
- Sir,— I was very glad to see from
your paper this morning that the Rev.
J. R. Blanchard had protested against
the action of the Y.W.C.A. in permitting
a Esunauy cuueen iu uc ueiu in connection
with its appeal at present before the
public. When I first saw the announce
ment in the papers of the propostd con
cert, it struck me as very strange indeed
that a Christian institution should have
compromised itself by accepting the offer
of the promoters of the concert. I am
sure all right-thinking Christians will
endorse every word of Mr. PSnchard's
protest nnd it is to be hoped-, it it is
not too late 'now for the directors of the
Y.W.C.A. to dissociate themselves from
the movement and have the concert can
celled. — Tours, etc.,' E r- r»
