An apparatus is now in use in the medical world for measuring disturbances ia
the activity of the heart. It consists of a magnet to which is attached & thin
wire through which an electric current is set in motion. The wire in Turn is at
tached to a mirror which-reflects an oscillating beam of light by the' aid <■£ a
