IT is hereby notified for general information,
with reference to the Stamp Duties Act
of 1S66, which is to come into operation on
the 1st proximo, that all Licensed Vendors of
Postage Stamps will, upon application to
this office, he appointed Licensed Vendors of
Duty Stamps under the nbovementioned Act.
A supply of Duty Stamps has been for
warded to every Postmaster throughout the
Colony, from whom they can be purchased.

England. Wool Broker, trading under the
firm of MACLEOD, RADCLIFFE and Co.,
in Bowen aforesaid, all the Real and Personal
Estate and Effects of the said Firm of
Madood, Radcliffe and Co., and of the said
James Alexander John Macleod, whatsoever
and wheresoever situate, and also of the said
Samuel William Radcliffe, situated in any of
the Australian Colonies, were Conveyed and
Assigned unto Patrick Buchan, Frederic
Lassetter, and Francis Adams, as Trustees
in trust for the benefit of the Creditors of the
said James Alexander John Macleod and
Samuel William Radcliffe, with full power to
the said Trustees to carry on, sell, and ar
range, and otherwise, and also with poser to
delegate such authorities and powers to any
person or persons whomsoever. In pursuance
whereof, I, HENRY EDWARD RUSSELL,
being the duly authorised Attorney of the said
Trustees, under a Power of Attorney dated
24th November. 1866, HEREBY GIVE
NOTICE to all whom it may concern that the
said James Alexander John Macleod and
James Alexander John Macleod and Samuel
William Radcliffe have no longer any right
to or control or disposition of any properties,
real or personal, vested in them, or either of
them, prior to the date of the said Deed of
Assignment, and that all Moneys duo and
owing to them, or either of them, must be
paid to me as Attorney for the said Trustees.

by Indenture of Conveyance and Assignment,
bearing date the 4th day of October 1866,
were convoyed and assigned to PATRICK
BUCHAN, FREDERIC LASSE ITER, ani
FRANCIS ADAMS, as Trustees in Trust for
the. benefit of the Creditors of the said
Estates, with full power to them, the snid
Trustees, to sell, realise, arrange, and other
wise, and also with power to delegate such
authorities and powers to any person or per
son t whomsoever.
I suggest, in order that the Estates which
I represent may not be prejudiced nor the
public misled, that you append to your ad
vertisements words to the effect that you are
the representatives of the Official Assignee
of the Insolvent Estates or Properties acquir
ed since the 4th day of October, 1866. the

SHEEP RETURNS: •
OCCUPANTS of Crown Lands for pastoral
purposes are hereby reminded, that by
the 9th section of the Scab Act of 1863, 27
Victoria, No. 2, it is incumbent on them to
make to the Commissioners of their districts
respeetivoy. on the 1st July now next, a
Return of all Sheep depastured by them; and
that such Returns, in pursuance of the Pro
clamation issued by His Excellency the
Governor, with the advice of the Executive
Council, uyon the 23rd March, 18g4, and in
turms of sucl section of the before recited
Act, must be accompanied by a remittance to
the amount of the assessment chargeable
against them at the rate often shillings for
every thousand or part of a thousand sheep
so depastured.
Neglect of this provision of the Act will
subject the person defaulting to a penalty of
Fifty Pounds.
As far as practicable] printed forms of
Returns will be supplied, but the non
receipt of such forms will not exonerate any
person from the duty of making the Return,
or afford him a plea for exemption from
penalty

CATTLE RETURNS.
OCCUPANTS of Crown Lands for pastoral
purposes are reminded, that by the 6th
section of the Act 25 Viotoria, No. 21.
(Diseases in Cattle Act), the operation of
which has been revived by Proclamation,
dated 18th January, 1864, in terms of Clause
2 of 26 Victoria, No. 6. (The Act to suspend
Diseases in Cattle Act of 1862, ) it is incumb
ent upon them to make to the Commissioner of
their districts respectively on the 1st July
now next, a Return of all Horned Cattle
owned by them: but no assessment upon
such Cattle need be for he present paid.
Neglect of this provision of the Act will
subject the person defaulting to a penalty of
Fifty Pounds.
As far as practicable, printed forms of
