United Licensed Victuallers* Association,
presented at tho annual meeting last
night.. stated that the receipts and ex*
ponditure account for tha year was highly

manifested considerable interest in con
nection with tha State election* in May,
1007, and the undertakings then eutered
upon necessitated moat arduous, practical,
and eoniBJitent work by^ the member* of
the executive and committee. The report
expressed regret for the decease of Mr,
Angus McKinnon, who for many years as*
mated in tho weak-of the Awocialion. Con
sequent on the alteration of the Federal
tariff, it was Agreed, lit a special mooting
ill August last, to adopt an amended scale
i of price**, and in thin connection, every
thing was now working smoothly. liefer

termed the apathy of country members of
tho trado, who, while receiving flu> bene
fit of the association'* work, did not giro
that individual assistance and financial
support which tho association claimed it
was entitled to, and the hope was ex
pressed that thoso members would realise
