Two More Purchases.
Two of the horses brought from Bris
bane for the Bundabcrg Race Club's
Easter meeting are. to remain here for
future racing. Sales have been effec-
ted of the chestnut mare Sampler, also
Friday Morning. The former In charge
of trainer E. Power, started at the
Easter meeting without success like
wise did Friday Morning. Sampler
is by Ornamentation from Fancy Work
and a blood relation to Embroidery,
who has raced with mixed success In
Brisbane. Friday Morning who was
disposed of by his owner, Mr. J.
Bridglane, Is well enough bred to
do better than he has In the past,
being by Dcerborough (Imp),' from
Robsart. Both should win races here.

minded that entries for the Bunda
berg Amateur Turf Club's May Day
meetta" which starts on" Saturday,
April 30 and concludes ' on Monday.
Mhy 2, close at 4 p.m. to-day for all
events. Entries can be lodged with the
secretary, Mr. L. J. Brady, Targo-street.
