TWO HARD GAMES
FOR GRANYILLi
Granville will have to play two hard games
this weekend to keep their interest in the
premiership and State Cup semi, -finals intact.
They have to replay West
Wallsend at McArthur Park
this afternoon in the State
Cup and will meet another
northern team, Eastlakes,
in the minor premiership
at Lambert -Park tomorrow.
They will be handicap
ped this afternoon through
the loss of four of their
best players.
W. Henderson and G.
Sanders will be in Adelaide
playing for Australia
against China in the fifth
Test, while K. Vairy and
R. Wall will be out with
injuries.
Henderson and Sanders
will be back in time to
morrow to play, but
Sanders and Wall are
out for the season.
It is unfortunate for
Granville, who have kept
their team intact for all
the season, to lose four of
their best players at this
stage.
Hard to beat
West Wallsend gave them
a hard game last week in
the State CUp and will be
hard to beat in the replay.
. They play a more open
type of football than Gran
ville, who favor the modern
style of third back play.
West Wallsend have a
great record In Cup
games and they will be
flat out to retain it in this
clash.
The minor premiership
final tomorrow should be a
classic.
Eastlakes have been In
the competition for dnly
four seasons, and this will
be their first final.
They have a finely bal
anced team who are ex
pected to give Granville
one of their hardest games.
Both games should draw
record crowds.
