Charles Mills — a son.
KILLED IN ACTION.
SKENE-SMITH. — Killed in action on October 9,
Lieutenant Alex. Skene-Smith, M.C., A.I.F.,
only son of Daniel B. Smith, Esq., The
Gables, Woodford Green, Essex, England,
and nephew of Mrs. John Lang, Grianaig,
Carnamah, Western Australia.
DEATHS.
BEALES. — On December 25, at Glenferrie,
Victoria, Henry Beales, beloved husband of
Fanny Beales, of Wellington-street, Perth,
and son of Annie and the late Councillor
William Beales, of Geelong, Victoria.
Interred at Geelong. Requiescat in pace.
BRAGG. — On December 25, 1917, at 223 Barker-
road, Subiaco, Western Australia, Alfred,
the dearly beloved husband of Eliza Bragg
and loving father of Mrs. E. Flanagan, Mrs.
E. Sanders, Mrs. G. D. Carter, Alfred, Walter
and Edgar (on active service), Ernest,
Stephen, and Minnie Bragg, aged 67 years.
At rest.
HARBUTT. — On December 23, 1917, at
Fremantle (suddenly), Thomas Leslie, dearly
beloved husband of Sophie, and father of
Private Thomas Noble (on active service)
and Kenneth Gray Harbutt, aged 60 years.
HARTSHORN. — On December 25 (suddenly), at
Perth, Aimee, the dearly beloved wife of
Harold John Hartshorn, 196 Carr-street,
Leederville, and fond mother of Isobel.
Deeply regretted. Interred privately at
Karrakatta. Eastern States papers please

HARTSHORN. — On December 25 (suddenly), at
Perth, Aimee, the dearly loved youngest
daughter of Isabella Thompson, Kondut,
sister of Mrs. L. S. Warren, Katanning; Mrs.
H. T. Hills, 18 Richardson-street, West
Perth; and Stewart Macgillivray, Leeton,
New South Wales. Deeply regretted.
LAUCHLAN. — On December 11, 1917, at the
residence of his daughter, Mrs. W. Lawrence,
Langdon, Tregothnan, Frazer-road, Lewisham,
Sydney, Matthew Highet Lauchlan
(native of Ayr, Scotland), aged 84 years.
Interred Rookwood, Sydney, December 12,
1917.
PATTON. — On December 25, 1917, at the
residence of her brother-in-law, John T. Bell,
Wyndilla, Keane-street, Cottesloe, Agnes
Mary Patton. Remains interred privately,
Karrakatta Cemetery, December 26, 1917.
SMITH. — On December 25, 1917 at Children's
Hospital, Subiaco, Western Australia, Ola
Lucille, the dearly beloved infant daughter
of Lionel and Alida Smith, aged 18 days.
SPIERS. — On December 24, 1917, at her sister's
residence, Melbourne, Victoria, Minnie, the
dearly beloved wife of Robert H. Spiers,
Craigie Park, Wanneroo, and dearly loved
mother of little Jim, after a long and
lingering illness. A patient sufferer at rest

dear sister, Della, who died on December
27, 1915, aged 27 years.
