A fair .amount of betting is taking place
in Perth on the City Handicap and Birth
day Cup to be run at, the A.R.C. meeting.
Yesterday lownit was favourite for the
City Handicap, which is to be run to
morrow, at 4 to 1. Other prices on offer
were 5 to 1 Bob Soult. 8 to 1 Greek Fire
and Golden Fortune. 10 to 1 River Prince.
Quair Bum, and Enigmatical. 12 to 1 San
Juan, from 16 to 50 to 1 others.
The Birthday Cup is to be run the fol
lowing Saturday. Prices obtainable yester
tday were:--4 to 1 Royal Alice, 5 to 1 JAan
Fernandez. 6 to 1 Sylvanmore and Orvieto
10 to 50 to 1 others.

receiving veterinary attention. but the ten
don of his near foreleg is so badly bowed
that he may not stand another prepara
tion.

her racing in Mr. '. Hannan?s colours. hI;s
