BOXING.
On Monday evening, the 17th inst., at
His Majesty's 'Theatre, the sport-loving
patrons of Perth will have the last oppor
tunity of seeing Hughio Mehcgan, the Aus
tralian champion. He has been matched to
meet Alf. Morey, and as Morey is also a
fighter, the contest should be one of the
most willing seen in Perth for many years
past. There will be a ten.round prolimin
ary contest. Residents of the city and
country who desire to secure some of the
best seats may do so now on application in
writing, cheque enclosed, to the Roselea
Nursery, Hay-street, Perth. The prices will
be the same as the other contests, 10s.,
7s. 6d., 5s., 3s., and 2.
ANOTI3HER TOURNAMENT..
It is proposed to hold another boxing
tournament in His Majesty's Theatre in
June or July, when competitors in the ban
tam, feather, light, welter, and heavy
weights will be catered for. It is pro
posed to allot £15 for each division, to be
divided in the proportion of £10 to the win
ner, £3 to the runner-up, and £2 to the
man giving the best all-round boxing ex
hibition. Intending competitors should get
into training in ample time. Further par
ticulas' will be advertised from time to
time. It is also hoped to arrange special
contests during the tournament between the
winners of the last tournament and'profes
