killed at Maddington, October 22, 1907.
R.I.P.
It seems but a day since he bade us good-by,
His heart full of hope and his spirits so big,
How little we thought when he left that day
The grim hand of death would soon tear him away.
So gentle and kind how we miss his face,
Now we know that on earth we can ne'er fill
his place,
Tho' asleep in his Saviour where grief is known,
In sorrow and tears are his loved ones at home.
—Inserted by his loving wife and children.
GUNNING.—In loving memory of our dear son
Joseph Alfred, who was drowned on Octo-
ber 23, 1906.

P. Gunning.
PERRY.—In loving memory of my dear bro-
ther, Joe, who departed this life on Octo-
ber 22, 1901.
Thus, is ever with those that are dear,

Those that are nearest entwined round the
heart,
The ones that are loved most the soonest depart.
