the 8th ultimo, from near Sackville-street, Canley
Vale, the property of H. Scrivener, Bonnyrigg,—A
Universal free-wheel bicycle, built by Anthony Hor-
den, movable handles, Dunlop Oceanic tyre on front.
Bushmen’s tyre on back wheel, no brackets on pedals,
B.S.A. fittings ; value, £5. Identifiable.
Campsie.—Stolen, on or about the 23rd ultimo, from
the residence of Lillian Greaves, Tarnagulla, 8th
Avenue, Campsie,—An eight-day imitation marble
clock, black, lined with gold, on brass legs ; nine lady’s
white night-dresses ; a quantity of lady’s undercloth-
ing, consisting of camisoles, drawers, &c. ; a lady's

Castle Hill.—Stolen, between 12 and 6 a.m. the 24th
ultimo, from a shed at the residence of J. Swords,
Castle Hill, the property of the Public Works De-
partment, Sydney,—A Harley-Davidson motor cycle
and side-car. registered No. 14,662, fainted dark-
fawn, Remo horn, Dunlop railroad tyres ; value, £130.
Identifiable.
Daceyville.—Stolen, between 1 and 2 p.m. the 12th
ultimo, from the residence of William Metcalf, St.
Jerome, Allison-road, Kensington,—A black dinner
suit, “Peapes” on tab of coat, “Lowes” on trouser
band; a black gabardine overcoat with check lining ;
a light-fawn overcoat, with “Palmer” on tab ; a car-
digan jacket, “Murdoch” on tab ; two soft white
shirts ; five pillow-slips ; four sheets ; a white quilt ; a
white tablecloth and afternoon tea cloth, and five
pairs gent.’s socks ; also, the property of Hal Metcalf,
residing there,—A herringbone grey tweed sac coat ; an
Onoto fountain pen, with “H.M.” on a gold hand ; a
Valet safety razor in silver ease, “To Hal from Gwen,
Xmas, 1916,’’ “Good Luck” on case ; a new service
automatic six-chambered Colt revolver, No. A55
figure of a horse on the stock and a figure on the
trigger ; total value, £30. Identifiable. Suspicion
attached to a man about 24 or 25 years of age, 5 feet
5 inches high, medium build, dark complexion, dark
curly hair, clean shaved, thin features ; wore a dark-
grey suit with a narrow stripe, and a dark felt hat.
Darlinghunst.—Stolen, between 8.30 and 11 a.m. the
14th ultimo, from the Municipal Baths, Domain, Syd-
ney, the property of Hugh Munro, residing at 7 Searl-
street, Petersham,—A Stephen’s red-enamelled
bicycle, Major Taylor handles, wooden rims, back
one split, fixed wheel, roller brake ; value, £5. Iden-
tifiable.
Darlinghurst.— Stolen, between 10 p.m. the 25th
and 7 a.m. the 26th ultimo, from the residence of
Muriel Aronson, Kelburn Flats, Elizabeth Bay road,
Sydney,—An 18-carat gold crescent brooch, set with
opals and rubies alternately, gallery setting around
the edge, unique design, English make, may be stamped
W & H ; a long dagger brooch, set with a large opal
near the hilt, and two diamonds near the point ; a
gent.'s single-stone pearl tie-pin ; and about the sum
of £13 ; value £25. Jewellery indentifiable.

grey crepe-de-chine one-piece dress; a black satin

Roman figures; a flat oval gold bangle; a gold fafi
sliaped brooch, stones missing; a diamond stud; a

Manly.—Stolen, between 8 a.m. the 22nd and
11 p.ni. the 2Gth ultimo, from the residence of William
Ashley Peake, Trentham, Lauderdale-avenue, Manly,
—A lady’s open-face keyless cardinal coloured enamel
and strap wristlet watch, spray of pearls on the back;
a round gold pendant, with glass, and hair and photo,
of woman, thick gold rope pattern chain attached; a
plain flat gold bangle, clasp fastening and small safety
chain, small unpolished pearl in the centre; a gold
double band ring, small safety-chain attached ; a lady’s
solid silver square and chain pattern belt, with raised
faces on it; two silver mesh handbags, one chain, the
other ring handle: a navy-blue serge frock on black

West Maitland.—Stolen, between 9 a.m and 8 p.m.
the 26th ultimo, from the residence of Frederick John
Ames Spinney, Bishop’s Bridge, near West Mait
land,—A violin and two violin hows; a silver tea pot;
two razors, “Bengali” and “Trilby” make, with ivory
grips; a dark-striped suit; a navy-blue serge coat;
pair lady’s driving gauntlets; two gold brooches; a
silver brooch with “Su” on it, other letters broken

coins on same; a heavy gold cable-link bangle; an
amethyst pendant, with violet shade stone and similar

stolen, the property of Oscar Gillam, Bingle-street,
Newcastle, lias been recovered.

Balmain.—The gold open-face wristlet watch, gold
necklet and pendant, and gold sleeve-links, reported
stolen on the 21st ultimo, from the residence of May
Taylor, Gizo, Revnolds-a venue, Balmain, have been
pledged at Knight’s pawn-office, 218 Abercromhie
street, Redfern, by a woman about 30 years of age,
5 feet high, stout build, fresh or fair complexion, fair
hair; wore a white blouse and a large straw hat.
