SYDNEY.— Mrs Ethel
Livesey today took out a .
writ claiming £10,000
damages against James
Rex Beech, civil servant.
Cause of action was not dis
closed.'
Mr Harold Munro, solicitor,
acted on behalf of Mrs Livesey.
It was announced in December
last year that Mrs Livesey would
marry Mr James Rex Beech, who
was described as an officer of
the Sub-Treasury.
At the last minute, on December
8, when arrangements had been
made for a wedding breakfast at
the Hotel Australia, a doctor, .was
called to attend Mrs Livesey, and
Bhe was reported to be 111. .
More than 200 guests , went on
with the breakfast at the Aus
tralia after waiting for the bride
and bridegroom to appear. The
four-tiered wedding cake remain
ed uncut.
Earlier Mrs Livesey had posed
for photographers with bouquets
of orchids ln her flat.
