A!d. M'Sweeney, Lord Mayor of Cork,
who in in Brixton prison, and Is hunger-
striking, is very weak.
Ho is suffering from headaches aiid
dizziness, and is In considerable pain.
Tne numbness of tlic body is increasing
and botli arms have been bandaged »

"If M'Sweeney is permitted to die,"
says "The Times," in a leading article,
"it may blunt the weapon .of hunger-
striking, but it will- rally, with far
greater certainty, the extremist forces
which have recently been showing signs
of doubt and perturbation. On this
may depend tho future relations of
Irishmen with this country!"
