POSTMASTER-GENERAL'S DEPARTMENT.
Wireless Telegraphy Act 1905-1950.
SPECIAL LICENCE No. H1892.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred
upon the Postmaster-General by Section 5 of the Wireless Tele
graphy Act 1905-1950, and the Wireless Telegraphy Regulations, a
Licence is granted to all foreign expeditions engaged in scientific
research in the Australian Antarctic Territory to establish radio
transmitting and receiving apparatus in that territory for the pur
pose of the co-operation in scientific investigation in the Antarctic,
1965, and to use the said stations in accordance with the particulars
in the schedule hereunder until 31st December, 1965. The erection
and operation of the said stations shall be carried out in accordance
with the provisions of the said Regulations, as amended from time
to time during the currency of this licence, and shall be subject to
such further restrictions and conditions as are from time to time
notified by the Postmaster-General or by any officer thereto
authorized in writing by the Postmaster-General.

SCHEDULE OF THE AUTHORIZED STATIONS
1 Type of transmitting and receiving equipment—Any type which
complies with the provisions of Article 12 of Chapter IV of the
Radio Regulations annexed to the International Telecommunication
Convention signed at Geneva, 19^9
2 Operating frequencies —As notified to the International
Freciuency Registration Board
3 Callsigns —As notified to the International Frequency Registra
tion Board
4 Stations with which communication is permitted —As may be
required
5 Hours of service —As may be reqiured
6 Charges for traffic through Australian stations—As approved
by the Postmaster-General's Department. Melbourne
