MR. E. A. MANN, M.H.R.
Returns to Melbourne.
Mr. ; A. Mann, M.H.R., left for
,Melboflrne, by last night's Great West.,
ern, express, to attend the coming
session of- the Federal 'Parliament,
which will .open on February 28.
In a 'onvershtion with a ,representa
tire of the "West Australian" yester
day, Mr. .Mannn saidl- he regarded the
proposals of the new Fedetal Ministry,
as outlined" by the Prime Minister, Mr.
.Bruce, as..being indicative of a prompt
andi'btsinesslike. desire. to' reform the
general administration. He had been
exceedingly busy since ,his. return', to
Perth from Melbourne a few days ago,'
and';a'.lrge' number' of requests, which
would require his urgent' attention in
Melbourne, had been brought ,before
him, He had .received an intimation
that the sessioin would commence 'on
February 28, and that the usdal pre
sessional meeting of the Nationalist
Party would be -held on February 27.
In' view of the reported shortness of
.the session his lrmovements were a
little, uncertain, but the many requests
that .had, been brought before him
.would doubtless keep him in Melbourne'
a month or two . after the session'
closed. ' He hoped, however, to be back
in Perth again before the business of
Parliament opened in earnest in the mid
dle of' the year. He had no doubt that
when, the full Ministerial progranime
.was announced it would be received
with greht interest by. the people of
this State.
