1100 Tons Of Tobacco
QFFICIALS of the Victorian Tobacco
Growers' Association have an
nounced that Victoria's tobacco crop
for 1941-42 will exceed 1100 tons. The
yield an acre is considerably above
that of recent years.
For the first Victorian appraisal in
Melbourne, early in July, more than
300 tons will be available, with an
additional 30 tons of leaf from pre
vious seasons. Any grower who has
not notified the association of his
tobacco crop must contact the secre
tary at Myrtleford immediately, as all
leaf to be appraised in Victoria must
pass through the association's hands.

in grading this season's crop, which is
of good quality.
