J. C. WILLIAMSON'S COMPANY.
TO-NIGHT, AT HER MAJESTY’S
THEATRE.
Mr Thomas Kingston Mr G. S. Tither
adge, and Mr J. C. Williamson’s New
Dramatic Company will to-night com
mence their brief season of three night,
and by it it is safe to predict that a
record house will welcome their represen
tation of the successful naval
“The Flag Lieutenant.” The above
named production is reported to have
been most successful in every respect.
The play deals with naval life —including
two scenes on board a battleship. Great
lmins have been taken to have every de
tails accurate. The production will
mark the return of Mr G. S. Titlieradgo
to Ballarat after his long absence, and
the first appearance of Miss Ethel War
wick and Miss Dorothy Grimston_ (two
new arrivals from England). Mr Kings
ton will appear in the name part, which
is said to suit him as if it had been
written for him. The cast, which is
an exceptionally strong one is—Rear-Ad
miral Sir Berkeley Wynne, Mr Geo. S.
Titheradge; John Penrose (flag captain),
Mr S. Hardinge; Clnrstopher Neat, Mr

.staged to-morrow nlglit will be William
Gillette’s famous detective play. “Sher
lock Holmes." and Saturday, the last
night of the season, will be devoted to a
splendid revival of Sydney Gsundy’6 fa
mous play “A Village Priest, ’’ with Mr
Geo, Titheradge as the Abbe Dubois. The
stage direction is in the hands of Mr J.
W. Haziett and Herr Benno Scherek will
have charge of the orchestra.
The box plans for the season are now
on view at Sutton’s, and the manage
ment’announce that day sale tickets will
bo procurable at Bade’s, from 10 a.m.
this day.
