FAREWELL TO MISSION"ABIES.
. Mr. and Mrs. G. McKie, who have been labouring
in China in the interests of the China Inland
Mi&don, and lately'have been enjoyiiur furlough
in Adelaide, were tendered a farewell at Zioo
Chapel. Pultenev street, on Thursday evening

fields of China. There she. laboured until
the time of the Boxer rising, when for four
months she, Mr. McKie, and other missionaries
had to seek Tefuge in caves, and depend forsubsistence
on the offerings of converted Chinese
When the trouble ended tliey proceeded to Shanghai.
and later returned to the station of Icheng,
province of Sban-si, as Mr. and Mrs. McKie.
There they worked till they le't for Adelaide, and
now thev are about to proceed to England, where
Mr. McKie belonged, prior to returning to China.
Pastor Finlayson presided at Thursday's meeting,
which was well attended, and was supported by
the Eev. W. Lockbart Morton, Mr. T. E. Powell
(secretary of the China Inland Mission*), and Mr.
Cee Wah (Chinese missionary in Adelaide). Anprtipriate
addresses were (riven by the Rev. Lockliart
Morton, Mr. Powell, and Mi® TVndinner.
The latter. wIbj is enioyine furlourt after a decade's
sojourn in China, has four sisters and a
brother workinr in the mission fields. Mr. and
Mrs. McKie (rave interesting addresses, in which
