JAPANESE 'N TROUBLE
NEGLECTED TO. REGISTER
LAUNDRY.

At the Kalgoorlie police court this
morning, before Mr. W. A. G. Walter,
iR.M., a Japanese was charged with a
(breach of the Kalgoorlie Council's
health regulations, namely, having neglected
to register his premises, which
were "utilised" for • laundry purposes.
Mr. Cowle appeared for the council.
Mr. Galley, health inspector of the
Kalgoorlie Local Board of Health, gave
oornaboratire evidence to the effect
that the laundry business in connection
with the premises had been carried on
for - about two years. The accused had
neglected to register his premises when
called ujpon to do so. - •
Mr. Cowle explained that the accused
had given the health ^authorities a
great deal of trouble, he having been
up before the court on three previous
occasions. The maximum penalty was
£20, but he would ask for a fine of at
least £o in the. present case.
The accused was fined £5, with £2
lis 6d cods.
