A CATTLE DEAL.
Satisfactory Sequel.
In the Assembly on Thursday, Sir
Richard Butler referred to a statement
made by the Minister of Industry (Hon.
R. P. Blundell) on the previous day that
1,000 cattle had been purchased from the
Queensland Government, at a cost of £18
10/, and enquiried whether that price was
on the. station or delivery iit Adelaide, including
trucking at Farina Ind Hergott
Springs. He also wished to know if the
ajiimals had been inspected by anybody
connected with the Minister's Department,
and whether it had been satisfactory in
respect of quality and weight. The
"Minister of Industry replied' that the
cattle had .been purchased from the same
station from which the Queensland Go-
vernment had bought at £18 10/ a-head.
The South Australian Government was not
paying that amount, but would sell the
cattle in Adelaide and pay the difference
to Queensland.
r
Sir Richard Butler—Ah! that's better.
The Minister—A bad beginning, but a
good ending.
