FARM PRODUCE.
WHEAT.— MRrchants, cable advice from Lon
don shows a steady market, with prices slightly
firmer and buyers displaying more interest. Lo
cally practically nothing is selling, "ana quota
tions are little better than nominal. For small
I lots 5/0 is wanted, and 'Shippers offer 5/5% per
bushel on trucks Williamstown. ' For new wheat
5/4% to 5/5 is otfcrcd.
FLOUR.— The Jlill Owners' Association prlct
for old Hour is £13 10/, and for new season!
flour £18 '5/ per 2000 lb. net. delivered in Mel
bourne or suburbs. For u minimum quantit)
of three tons, cash with order, the price is 5/
BRAN and POLLARD. — The price of bran fixed
by the Mill Owners' Association is £7. and the
nrieo of pollard £8, these figures being for 2000
lb. net delivered in Melbourne or suburbs.
OATS. — The market lacks animutlon, up to
4/8 being' quoted for feed, and to 4/10 .for
milling sorts.
BARLEY. — Quointions nre practically nominal
at up-to 4/10 for English, and from 4/ to 4/8
for Cape, according to grade. The market is
very quiet. .
MAIZE.— Little or no grain is selling, and
quotations arc unaltered at late iovoib. Prime
llat-rcd is available. -at 6/0 to- 5/8. por bushel.
PEAS.— Milling dun are selling at 7/9 per
bushel. Offerings are meagre, and are being
disnoscd of at late .rates.
'ONIONS.— Buyers nre evincing steady interest
in Globes and Silverskins, and supplies are clean
ing up well. Brown Spanish are difficult to
quit, and stocks have accumulated. Yesterday a
moderate demand was received, and late iatcs
were realised. Brown Spanish were nominally
quoted at £1 to £1 19/. For Silverskins £3
10/ to £4 in bugs was quoted, and for Globes
up to £4 10/ was obtained.
POTATOES.— A better tone pervaded this mar
ket yesterday, and sellers reported steady busi
ness at prices which obtained on Thursday.
Ciioice old red-soil Snowflako sold at from £3
10/ to £1, with Carman commanding £4 10/
and occasionally £5. Now potatoes were stead)
nt £11 10/.
CHAFF.— Prices were inclined to favor buyers
in this section yesterday. About 25 truck loads
were received, and in view of the quiet request
clearances were slow. Choice mill cut was
avaiiaide at from £7 to £7 5/ ; good com-
manded from £0 15/, and less money was paid
for other cuts. For lucerne up to £8 was
quoted. , .
HAY and STRAW.— New manger trussed is
selling at £10. For manger sheaves from £5 to
£7 is asked. Lucerne hay, £7. For hrignt
oaten straw the quotation is £8 to £3 10/, and
for barley and whealen £2 10/ to £2 15/ is
quoted.
