THE EEDEBAL DELEGATES.
Tteee of the federal delegates to England.
Hon. Edmund Barton, die Right Hon. C. C.
Kingston, and Mr J. E. Dicbson, returned
bv the Orient laser Ortona on Monday.
Tl>ey were -welcomed by the Premier and
p , who "went off <to the steamer at Largs
„ in wet and stormy -weather. Mr.

ao-board. Mr. Barton accompanied Mr. and
Mrs. Kingston ashore, where they were
heartfly received, .and they came up to the
eitv by special train. Mr. Dickson remaujed

to Mdbourne, whence he will journey to
Brisbane by tram. After visiting Government
House, Ifc Kingston and Mr. Barton
accepted the invitation of the A-N-A- and
the Mayor of Adelaide to the Town Hall,
where a magnificei& tmbJic reception wa^
accorded hhem. Tiie tddegates were praised
on all hands for the manner in which they
bald accomplished their difficult mission in
cotmeafcion with the Commonwealth Bill.
Upon Air. Kingston and Mr.- Barton rising
fo> Te^bnd they were fondly' cheered. Mr
J. H. Sfmon, who took such a prominent
part in -rate load campaign for the retention

most cordial character, and the welcome
home wias such as to give the utmost pleasore
to -the -delegates mid (to mate the occasion
a memorable one in .connection with
the great federal movement. The Ministry
afterwards entertained the delegates at
luncheon at ParKameiit House. Mr. Barton
left Adelaide by the Melbourne express in
the afternoon. At North-terrace Station to
see him off were the Premier, Hon. F. W.
Haider, the Bight Hon. C. 'C. Kingston, the
Speaker, Sir Jenkin Coles; Sir John Downer,
M-P-, Mr. V. L. Solomon. 1LP., the
