EXTRA TRAINS AVAILAULE for EXCURSION and
ORDINARY PASSENGERS.
.NORTHERN SYSTEM.— From llth till 17th April in-
elusive, extra trains preceding the ordinary trains will
leave Melbourne for Bendigo, and lieudigo for Mel
bourne, as required. These trains will only stop at cer
tain stations, notice of which will be given at Mel
bourne and Reudigo respectively. On l3th -April, n
special train, stopping at all stations from Braybrook
Junction to Beutligo inclusive, will leave Melbourne
at 3.35 p.m. WOODEN D and DAYLF.SFORD
LINE. —On 13th and 15th April, at) extra
train wilt leave Daylesford at 7.40 p. in., and
return from Woodend at lOp.ui. It will connect with
the lost passenger train to Melbourne or itendtgo.
WYCUEPROOF LINK.— On 13th hud 15th April, a
passenger train will leave Bendigo for Wycheproof at
4.50 am., and Wyclicorouf for Bemligoat 5p.ui. IN
GLEWOQD and MARYBOROUGH LINE.— On 13th,
and 15th April, a passenger train will leave Mary
borough for inglewood at 10.35 a.tn., and return frotn
Inglcwood at 7 p.ni. AVOCA LINE.— On 15th April,
the 10.20 p.tu. train from Maryborough to Avocu,
returning at 11.20 p.m., will run the same as on .Satur
days.
.WESTERN SYSTEM.-From Uth till 17th April in
elusive, special booking windows at the south end of
Mpencer-street station will be open for the issue of
tickets. On 13th and 15th April an extra train
will leave Melbourne for Geelong, B&llarat and sta
tions beyond nt 6.19 a.m. On 13th April, a special train
will leavo Melbourne for Uallarat (nil Bacchus Marsh)
at 4.15 p.m., taking passengers for llnllarat anil
stations beyond. BALL A RAT EAST. — From 10th
till 17th April (both dates inclusive), passengers
will not be booked at Ballarat for Ballarat East by
atiy of the trains for Melbourne. ARARAT ana
PORTLAND LINE.— On 15th April an extra mixed
train will leavo Ararat for Hamilton and Portland Tier
at; 7.20 a.m., nnd return from Portland I'ier at 3.35 p.m.
and Hamilton at 6.48 fun. for Ararat. PORT FAIRY
LINK.— On 13th April, passengers for (tin Port Fairy
line will require to travel by the special train leaving
Melbourne at 4.33 p.m. iastead of by the 4.20 p.m. AUe
leidc express train.
ADELAIDE EXPRESS.— If there is room, excursion
passengers for Bullarat and intermediate stations at
vhicu the train stops will be allowed to travel by the
Adelaide express leaving Melbourne at 4.20 p.m.,
except on 13th April, when passengers for Ballnrat
inusr. travel by the 4.15 p.ni. special train. On Uth
April, passengers from Geelong to Ballarat will not be
nliowcd to travel from North Geelong by the 4.20 p.m.
express train.
NORTH-EASTERN SYSTEM.-From llth till 17th
April inclusive, passengers for Seymour, Bennila,
Wodouga (Albury, Sydney), Beeohworth. and other
stations on the North-eastern and Goultmrn Valley
lines will be booKed at the old Esrendos Rooking
OlUce, and admitted at the gates between Bourke ami
Little Collins streets. All passengers' luggage for these
Hues will also bo received there. The trains will start
from the old Esscmlou platform at Spencer-street sta
tion. An extra train will leave Melbourne for Seymour
on 15th April at 6.10 a.m. It will not stop at auy station
on the Melbourne side of Donnybrook. UUSHWORTU
LINE.— On Uth nnd 15th April an extra mixed train will
leave Mttrchtson East for Riishworth at 0.10 p.m.; and
on Uth, 15th and Uth April an extra train will leave
llushworth for Murdilson East at 6.45 a.m. YAltUA-
WONOA LINE.— On Uth andlSUi April an extra mixed
train will leave Yurrnwongu for Benalla at 2.30 p.m., and
return at 9 p.m.
EARLY SUBURBAN TRAINS.
ConURG ami SOMKUTON LINE.— On Uth April,
an early tram will leave Spencer-street for Cohurg
a'. 5 u.m., and return from Ootmrgot 5.39 a.m., stopping
nt all stations and reaching Spencer-street at 5.53 a.m.
SUBURBAN TRAIN SERVICE.
NEWPORT TRAINS.— From 12th till 15th April in-
i-lusire (Sunday excepted), the trains usually leaving
Melbourne for Newport nt 6.5 nnd 7.2 a.m., and Newport
lor Melbourne at 6.35, 7.34 a.m. and 4.50 p.m., will not
W1LLIAMSTOWN LINR.-On 15th April, the ordi-
nary time table will be suspended between the hours of
8 a.m. and 7 p.m., and tralus will run ut intervals of
nbnur- 20 mimues.
WIUTTLKSKA LINE.— On 15th April a special train
will leave Spencer-street for Whittlesea at 7.3 5 a.m., and
return at5.40p.ni. A special train will leave Whittlcrica
lor North Muroy at 10.30 u in., and return to Whittlesea
nt 12.30 p.m.
COLLING WOOD and HEIDELBERG LINR-On
15th April a special time table will be in force on the
Melbourne, Uollingwood, and Heidelberg line, rosters,
with full particulars, will be exhibited at the stations
"SOUTH SUBURBAN LINES.— On 15th Aprli, it
necessary,, the ordinary time table will be suspended on
the St. Kiida, Port Melbourne, Kew, Hawthorn, nnd
C'umbcrwell lines, and trains will rub as required.
BRIGHTON and KSSKNDON LINE,— On 15th April
the ordiunry time table will lis suspended, and trains will
run an per special time table exhibited at stations.
OAMBKRWKLL AND BOX HILL LINK. — On
15th April, the following trains will not run:— The
6.55. 7.30. 7.50. 8.10, 8.50, 9.10 a.m., 4.55 and 5.55 p.m. from
Princes-bridge tn Uamberwell; and the 7.7, 7.37, 7.57,
8.37, 8.57, 9.37 sun., 5.32 and 6.32 p,m. from Catabt-rwell to
Princes-bridse. tJii the same date, the train usually
leaving Prioces-bridge for Box Hill at 6.55 p.m. will leave
at 7.5 p.ut., and reach Box Ilili at 7.40 p.111.
CAULFiEI.I) AND OAKLKIGH I.lXE.-On 151h
April, the following trains will not run:—' The 7.2C.
7.35, S.27 tt.ni., 4 35 and 5.50 p.m. from Primes-
bridge to Caulbcld: and the 7.47. 88,8.54 a.m., 5.2 and
6.3/ p.m. from Oauliield to Princes- bridge. On the same
date, tlie train tlsunlty leaving Princes-bridge for Oak-
Ipigh nt 8.16 a.m. will leave nt 8.23 u.m., aod reach Oak-
Icigh at 8.56 u.m.
ADDITIONAL TRAINS.
GtPPSLANI) LINK.— During the holidays, If neces
sary, special trains preceding the ordinary traios, and
stopping at alt stations, will leave Princes-bridge station
for NVarragul. On loth April, the 4.30 p.m. train
from Princes-bridge station to Sale will run through
to Bairnsdale, and reach there nt 12.32 a.m. On tne
same date, a special passenger train will leave Traraigon
for .Stratford (via Mnffra) at 9.30 p.m., and connect at
Stratford with the train to Bairnsdide.
MOKDIALLOC and FRANKaTOX LINE.-On Uth
April, n special train will leave Princcs-bridge
Ktution fur I rnnkHton at 11.20 a.tn., and return at 5.35
p.m. A secoud specinl train will, if required, leave
Princes-bridge siatinn for Frankston at 10.10a.m., and
return at 5.15 p.m. If required, a special train will leave
Princes-bruize station for Mordialloc at 11.45 a.m.. and
return at 7.25 p.ui.
LILLYDALi; and HEALKSVJLLE LINE. — On
15th April u special train will leave Princes-bridge
station for Lillydale at 7.15 a.m. and return ut 6.50 n.m.
The train leaving Princes-bridgo station for Klngwood at
8.15 p.m. will run ou to LilJydale. Ou the return journey
it wiil leave Ltllydale at a50 p.tu. and connect at Box Hill
with the 10.39 p.m. train to Melbourne. A special train
will leave Princes-bridge station forlfealesvltte at 9.30
n.m. and return al7.2u p.m.
FERN TREK GULLY LINE.— On 15th April, if
required, special trains will leave Princes-bridge station
for Upper Fern Tree Gully, between the hours of
7.30 aud 11.30 a.m. and return between tbc hours of 4.50
and 8.10 p.m.
PIGNIC STATION.— On Easter Monday. 15th April,
between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., all suburban
trains will stop at Picnic station.
VICTORIA AMATEUR TURF CLUB RACES at
OAULF1KLD.
& On Saturday, 13th April, special trains will leave
liiuders-street station as often us may be required from
ll.13o.in. till 1.35p.m., and return immediately the races
are over. Return fares: First, class, 2.; drat class (in

and return immediately the races are over. Horses will
only be conveyed to the racecourse platform by the 11.30
n.m. special train, aud a special train will leave the
racecourse platform for Melbourne at 5.58 p.m.
with horses. All the special trains will pick up
or set dowu passengers at Footscray and Newport.
Return fares:— From Melbourne— First class (includ
ing admission to the grand stand), 13g. Including
admission to the course— First class, 5s., second class, 4s.
