¡ SUEZ MAIL EXTRACTS.
BOYCOTTING NEAR LIMERICK.
Several fresh cases of boycotting are reported j
from Limerick. Tho labourers are now, in some
localities, showing a disposition to retaliate upon
the farmers. At Boher a mowing machine has
been maliciously smashed, offence having been
taken by the labourers that the owner had not em-
ployed manual labour for the cutting of his hay.
In the western districts of the county the con-
stabulary at Newcastle have been unable to obtain
the use of cars from private owners to drive police
to evictions. The authorities, therefore, have been
obliged to provide themselves with special vehicles
for the puepose. The people have also refused to
supply tho Sheriff with a car for the purpose of
carrying out evictions, and a well-known athlete
has been severely boycotted for having some time
since conveyed police by car to assist the Sheriff at
evictions.
