Thursday.
( Leerung Aeits J-The Government announce that
they will introduce a bill to legalise the payment of
members, and a mensure for the appointment of ft
third Judge It is also intended to propose an
address of congratulation to the Queen upon the
marriage of II K II the Duke of Edinburgh.
Mr. Palmer's motion for the production of all
papers in the matter of the baique Thomas Brown
was carried.
Mr. James Morgan, the member for Warwick, has
been elected Chairman of Committees of the As-
sembly. Mr. Palmer proposed Mr. Fraser, but was
unsuccessful.

arrived at Rockhampton with 80 passengers »nd
2000 ozs. of gold from Cooktown. She has also 9300
ozs. from Townsville.
The returned miners report unfavourably of the
prospects on the Palmer. The average of the men
who are on gold are only obtaining 3 dwts. per day.
The Lord Ashley (s.) has arrived.
Saturday.
[Herald ]-Nearly 127 tons tin have been received
at Warwick during the week.
The Lord Ashley (s.) left for the Endeavour Rner
this evening. She was detained one day through a
report that the vessel was over-crowded when she
left Sydney.
Arrived.-Balclutha (s.); Oberlin, from Adelaide.
The Balclutha (s.) leaves for the north to-morrow.
The Lady Bowen (s ) has left for Sydney.
