ountry Correspondents Tell
of District Events
WUNGHNU.
There was a good attendance at
the annual meeting of the Bowling
Club. The balance-sheet showed a
satisfactory credit balance. Mr T.
Hunt was re-elected President, and
Mr J. Carlisle secretary and treasurer.
An enjoyable season is anticipated.
The influenza epidemic interfer
ed considerably with the attendance
at the Tennis Club's ball on Thursday
night, and the function -was
therefore not the success that was
anticipated. Ne\jertheless those
who attended spent a happy night.
The Cricket Club is putting its
pitch in order. The club is in a
good position financially, and expects
to field as good a team as last
year, when it won the D. P. Simpson
cup.
