Children's Hospital
Appeal To Go On
WHERE is "no Sporting Globe Carnival
tor the Children s Hospital this
year. But the kiddies at Frankston
have not been forgotten, and our annual
appeal is not dead. All those
sportsmen who have so generously
helped the kiddies in tbe past will have
the opportunity of doing so again.
This opportunity •will be presented
ok Good Friday, when the Sporting
Olobe will conduct an all-day appeal
for the Children's Hospital over radio
station 3DB. The management of that
station have generously agreed to give
every assistance on 1 ftat day. it Is
' toped that several thousands of pounds
rtfi be raised for the kiddies.
It was quite Impossible to organise the
usual sporting carnival or a like function,
but it was felt by the Carnival
Committee that the children must be
ed In some way.
_jsplte the war and the ajany war
funds the war waged on the homefront
by our hospitals still goes on. It
Is essential that they receive financial
assistance, and one Institution that
needs every penny is the branch of
the Children's Hospital at Frankston
for • the children suffering from Infantile
paralysis. It is still full
The Sporting Globe asks all sportsmen
to make a date for the children-
