Approaching Marriages.
The marriage of Miss Renee Fisher, elder
daughter of the late Mr. C. M. Fisher and Mrs.
Fisher, of "Locksley," St. Kilda-road, with Mr.
.Tames E. Whittingham, is announced to take
place at Christ Church, South Yarra, on Saturday,
26th August, at 8 p.m.
The marriage of Mr. William F. Maddock,
eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Maddock,
"Broadclyst," George-street, Fitzroy, with Miss
Dot Willing, youngest daughter of Mrs. Willing,
"Calstock," Hawksburn, will take place on
lGth September.
The marriage has been arranged between Miss
Ida Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin W. Hill,
of "Narina," Nagambie, and Mr. W. Reginald
Bartlett. will take place at Christ Church, South
Yarra, on Wednesday, 16th August, and afterwards
at Queen's Arms Hotel, Swanston-street.
The marriage of Miss Barbara Ellen Barnes,
second eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Barnes, Exhibition-street, city, with Mr. Rupert
Livingstone Amery, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs.
F. Amery, Lygon-street, Carlton, will be celebrated
at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church
on Saturday, 5th August, at four o'clock, after
which a reception and dance will be held at
M.U. Hall, Swanston-street, Melbourne.
An "at home" will be held ou Tuesdav. 15th
August, at St Mary's Hall. East St. Kilda, by
the Combined Collegians' Club. Messrs. Lindley
H. Henncssy and Dallas Sutherland are hon. secretaries.
The return "at home" to the Mayor and
Mayoress of Collingwood will take place in the
local Town Hall on Thursday. 17th August. Cr.
Johns is chairman, and Mr. Geo, Wild hon. secretary.
Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Clarke and Miss Clarke, of
"Tabraiorg," Hawthorn, are away in Queensland.
Mrs. Clarke will not be "at home" until the
second Thursday in September.
Mrs. John Cameron gave an "at home" on Thursday
last to some of her friends at "Delsretti," and
Miss Dolly Nicholson had her usual bridge party
on Saturday evening.
