HOMEBUSH RACES.
Sydney, 29thMaroh.
Tho Yaoes at Homebush to-day were more
successful than they have hitherto been, and
the attendance was very large. This was
doubtlesB owing to the presence of H.R.H. the
Duke of Edinburgh and hia Excellenoy the
Governor, who patronised the races during the
day, nnd apparently took great interest in the
different events. the weather was rather
cloudy and threatening throughout the day, but
no rain fell. The following aro the results : —

This was a splendid race. The Earl went
off with the lead and wag never caught. Time
3 min. 7i sec.
JFBEE HANDICAP.
Warwick ? 1
Grey Momus and Premier ran a dead heat
for second place.
A protest was entered against the Earl in
the St. Leger, on the ground ofjoBtling,
but the stewards after consideration dimissed
it.
