BROKEN HILL, September 6t |
The mineral exports from tlie .Barrier rot
August were valued at £228,570 net,
against £210,630 for July—an improvement
of £11,040. The exports were:—Silver and
silver-lead concentrates, 22.9931 tons, value
'£148,2221 silver and silver-Jead crudes,
2.535 tons, £3,240; zinc concentrates,
81.757 tons, £74,090; silver-lead slimes,
3,692 tons, £1,938; gold, 120 oz., £430.
The total value of exports, including wool,
Was £230,029, against £224.383 for July—
an increase of £12,240. The imports for
August were;—Oversea, £41,798; Austra
lian, £50,225; total. . £92,022t against
£70,550 for July. The revenue collected
and credited totalled £8,878, against
£6,912. These figures are in every way
the best for any month during the current
year, and show that production and gene
lal trade are steadily increasing.
