Owing to the Port Melbourne Cricket Club liaring
bungled their ground arrangements, the team
whicb was to have played there under that name
has decided to transfer its allegiance to Carlton,
where the cricket club has met it in an excellent
spirit, and to-day (Saturday) the new organisation
will take up the matches of the Port Melbourne.
The University club last Saturday agreed to a
postponment of the engagement with them to allow
the new club to be properly constituted before com
mencing operations.
In tlis fi division tbe following were the results:
-South Melbourne, 3 (P. Levy 2, A. Levy I); v.

All arrangements for the triangular intercolonial
contest between South Australia, Victoria, and
New South Walesin Melbourne next July are prac
tically mad#. The Sydney men have absolutely de
cided to make the trip, so that thdfe is no doubt tbe
treble event will come off, for there is no question
about a very strong South Australian team going.
