KEATING'S COUGH LOZENGES.—The unpreee
dented celebrity which these Lozenges have attained
throughout the Mining Districts of England and Scotland, as the only
unfailing remedy for the Coughs and Colds to which persons i ngaged
iu such pursuits are peculiarly liable, fully justifies the Proprietor in
introducing them to the notice of those who are engaged in similar
occupations in tins country.
It is well known that one of the greatest drawbacks to success in the
GOLD DISTRICTS, is, that failure of health and streugth conse
quent upon the COUGHS and COLDS which are produced by the ne
cessary exposure and wet which attends the labourer in his search for
the treasure : a remedy therefore which will preserve him from these
evils is in reality of more value than the richest mine.—Without health,
there can be no wealth—and this important truth should induce every
sensible man to provide himself with a stock of KEATING'S COUGH
LOZENGES before proceeding to the DIGGINGS.
Prepared and 6old in Boxes, Is. ljd, and Tins, of various sizes, by
THOMAS KEATING, Chemist, &c., No. 79, St. Paul's Churfeli Yard,
London. Sold by all Druggists in the world.
N.B.—To prevent spurious imitations, please to observe that the words
II Keating's Cough Lozenges " are engraved on the Government
Stamp of each box.
IMPORTANT TESTIMONIALS.
Longparish House, near Whitchurch, Hants, October 21st, 1846.
Copy of a letter from Colonel Hawker, (the well-known Author on " Guns
and Shooting.")
Sib,—I cannot resist informing you of the extraordinary effect
that I have experienced by taking only a few of your LOZENGES. I
had a cough for several weeks, that denied all that had been prescribed
for me; and yet I got completely rid of it by taking about half a small
box of your Lozenges, which I find are the only ones that relieve the
cough without deranging the stomach or digestive organs.
I am, Sir, yonr humble servant,
To Mr. Keating, 79, St. Paul's Churchyard. P. Hawker.
Melbourne, Port Phillip, May lGth, 1848.
Dear Sir,—I duly received per Maitland the case of Lozenges, and
have much pleasure in saying that they have met with a ready sale
therefore, send me now the value of ten pounds, that is, double the last
sent, packed in two cases with tins, &c., as before.
The Lozenges require only to be tried, and 1 am sure the sale will be
mmense. I am not an advocate for Proprietary Medicines in the
general^ way, but assure you that the Lozenges have done so much
good in almost every case iu which we have recommcmded them, that.
I believe them better adapted to this climate than anything else we
have seen used. ,
Believe me, dear Sir, your a faithfully,
I Mr. Thokas Keating. Danl. R. Long.
I Agents.— F.H.FAOLDING.
