IN ADELAIDE,
la pursuance of instructions received from the Pro
prietor^ JAMES ATKINSON, ESQ., the undersigned
hereby, notifies that tbe
SEAPORT TOWN OF BELFAST, PORT FAIRY,
together with the Lauds surrounding it, being the well
known
PORT FArRY SPECIAL SURVEY,
will he, from this day, thrown open to the Public for
Sale.
The TOWN of BELFAST is situated on the Bay of
Port Fairy, about 35 miles east from Portland Bay; and
Ls well known in Victoria as the principal outlet of
the largest and richest Agricultural district in that co
lony. The annual average per acre, for the produce of
thousands of acres, being seldom Jess than 30 bushels of
wheat, with other crops in the same proportion; and as
it is the nearest point of approach by the coast to the
newly-diseovercd gold mines at Mount William, it is
expected that it will become, in consequence, to the
steamers trading between Sydney, Melbourne, and
Adelaide, one of the principal places of call; it contains,
by last census, a population of 1,500 souls, and has
communication with Melbourne aud Portland three times
a mouth by the steamer Manchester. aa

TOWNSHIP OF EAST AUBURN.—This
the most central of the Northern Townships, is
also the centre of a large Agricultural District; it is
situated ou the Great Northern Road, and is equidistant

The fact of its being selected as the most eligible spot

FIRST FLOUR-MILL AT THE NORTH
is of itself sufficient evidence of its commanding situation.
The Water is abundant, and of the best description,
and the soil not to be surpassed even in that favoured
district.
Allotments in this Township are now open for Purchase,
and are well worthy the attention of Storekeepers,
Blacksmiths, Teamsters, &c., as the situation, exclusive
of the large traffic, and of the business which will accrue
to it on the completion of the Mill (which is to be
finished in three months), marks it likely to become the
most flourishing Town, if not the Capital, of the North.
Plans may be seen at the Rising Sun, Auburn; also,

whom terms may he learned. . ' 23I-*66
