Why Opposition and
Prejudice?
3 Why is religion tho 'one' thing- in which,
j! according to ecclesiastics, men deliberately
I set themselves against truth?
I I have never heard that ecclesiastics
I declare religion to be the 'one' thing
in which men deliberately set them
I selves against the truth. Men deliberate

dozens of things. However, I am willing
to admit that their opposition to the
I truth is particularly in evidence where

will be to their own corrupt natures.
And they don't like that.

It appears to mo that people are ready to
believo almost anything', so why don't
they lap up your religion?
Because my religion doesn't cater for
people ready to believe 'almost any
thing.' It demands that they believe a
very definite something, to the exclu
sion of many things wh'ich human
nature might find more pleasant and
comfortable.

That is a genorous concession.

Hut why should this prejudice be? Why
should God's truth (as you believe It) in
cur such hostility?
Of one thing you can be certain. It
la not because It is 'not' God's truth.
In fact, we can go further. It is pre
cisely because it 'is' God's truth.
