OlITUARY.
I regret to record the death of Mrs. Roy,
wife of Mr. John Roy, of tlailwayestreet, who
expired at her residence on Monday. Her
funeral took place at Bandgate Cemetery on
Tuesday and was fairly attended. She leaves
a sorrowful husband and children to mourn
their loss. It is my painful duty also to rs~.
cord the death of two other well-known
residents, viz., Mrs. Cobb, wife of Mr. Hugh
Cobb, proprietor of the Britannia Hotel,
Junction, who expired at her residence
on Monday night, after a long and painful
illness, through heart disease and
dropsy. Her funeral took place yes
terday, and was very well attended.
Mrs. Garfoot also expired at her residence
on Monday evening, after a very long and
painful illness, having been suffering for a
considerable time from cancer. Her funeral
took place yesterday afternoon at the same
time as that of Mrs. Cobb. Mrs. Garfoot
leaves a sorrowful husband, four sons, and
two daughters, all grown up, to mourn their
loss. Groat sympathy is expressed for the
bereavedr family, who are highly respected.
