HORSE AND DAIRY STOCK.

Messrs. CAMPBELL, PRATT, and Co. report:
" Horses.-The week's business has been fairly active,
and sales to a considerable amount effected. Market
rates have been irregular, and for some descriptions
decidedly weak. This has partly arisen from country
supplies coming in too freely, and the absence of some
buyers from town. Draughts did not meet with usual
demand, the supply each day being in excess of re
quirements, which caused rates to favour purchasers.
Superior saddle and harness horses, baggy and car
riage pairs, Indian and omnibus sorts, were sold at
about late rates, and maintained their value. Our
?ale* for the week have < omprised buggy pairs, £42
to £50; gentlemen's hackneys and buggy horses, £21
to £46 ; omnibus and coachers, £17 to £25; Indian,
£21 to £25; extra heavy draughts, £*0 to £45; liifbt,
medium, and heavy, £18 to £82; country horses
averaged £8 12s. 3d., £10 2s., £18129., £217s. 6d., and
£21 15s. per bead, each lot respectively. Dairy
Stock.-Market very quiet. Miikers in full supply,
and quotations unaltered, £4 to £6 10s. Stores in

demand, and fetching full rates." j
