Television Came
Between Them
-EW YORK, May 25,
A.A.P.-A New York wife,
Mrs. Betty Hil, asked the New
York Supreme Court for a
marital separation because shc
said her husbanr neglected her
to watch television programmes.
"lie sat for houro, before the
television set and appeared
wholly oblivious of my pre
sence,' Mrs. Hill told the Court.
"He deprived me of his love
and companionship, ignored me
completely, and devoted himself
exclusively to watching television
programtmes."
She informed the Court that
she would be happy with a
separation and "adequate all
mony of, say, £22 a week."
