Egg Export Board
Proposed In Bill
CANBERRA, Wednesday.-A bill to
provide for the establishment of an
Australian Board to control the ex
port of eggs and egg products was in
troduced in the House of Representa
tives to-day by the Minister for Agri
culture (Mr. Pollard).
The board will consist of six pro
ducers-one from each State-two
persons with commercial experience.
a representative of employees engaged
in handling, grading and processing,
and one representative of the Common
wealtll Government.
Mr. Pollard said the egg marketing
organisation, which it was proposed to
establish, would not be ready to take
over when Commonwealth control
ceased on, December 31. The Federal
Government had decided to establish
the Australian Egg Board to handle
surplus production of quality suitable
for export.
