COPENHAGEN, April, 10,
A.A.P. - Five 'hundred .un
employed demonstrated by
hacking up a street in Copen
hagen.
They stood, bareheaded,
alongside the police when air
raid sirens signalled the an
nual two-minute silence for
dead Danish Resistance work
ers.
The demonstrators barred
traffic from a street in the
poorer part of the city and
got to work with picks and
shovels. They threatened the
police, who summoned rein
forcements.
After the two-minute silence
the demonstrators dispersed.
leaving holes in the road.
Their leader was arrested.
