Higher on 'Change
Broken Hill Proprietary shares and
rights continued to improve durine
today's trading on the Exchange;
buyers offered 39/4, for the former
and sales were maae in the latter at
17/10, up 3d.
Turnover in all sections was not
heavy. Elder, Smith were 1/ lower at
£7/17/6. Dunlop, ord., improved 2d. on
quotation, and S.A. Gas were Id. better
at 21/6. Adelaide Elec. ord. gained 41d.
Most business in loans was done in
the 4 per cent. 1959 issue at £109/17/6
Operators showed little inclination to
come to terms in the gold section.
New Occidental were 2d. up at 11/8.
and Mount Coolons gained fractionally
to 1/111. Two hundred Lake View
Stars were sold at 22/, and Lady Shen
ton had light notice down to 5,d., both
prices being lower. Frenev Oil firmed
Id. to 5/10.
