CARTERS AND DRIVERS
Handling' of Disputes
At a special meeting of the South Aus
tralian branch of the Carters and Drivers'
Union last night to consider the waterside
trouble the following resolution was
adopted:
S"That all disputes in future that look
Slike involving both sub-branches in this
State must be immediately placed in the
hands of the executive of the State
branch."
To prevent leakage of information which
should be known only to tlhe executive, it
was resolved that no report of any sub
branch or branch be given to any section
of the press of Australia except by an
official appointed for such.purpose.
Mlr. F. McIntyre (secretary) stated that,
as secretary, he was that official. He
would convey the resolution to the execu
tive of the Adelaide sub-branch.
Mr. A. Wagner (president) occupied the
chair. Messrs. J. E. Stephens and A. G.
Angell (delegates representing the union
on the disputes committee) submitted their
