The South captain (Jaffer) did not play
because of indisposition. In his absence
Tull- led the side, and L. Long was in
cluded. C. R. Rose was appointed acting
vice-captain.
South. w~ith the breeze behis_ them,
were all over Port in the opening few
minutes. Faster to the ball and.: winniug
everywhere, South had three goals from
3?unro. Thomas, and F. Tulvly without
Port getting the ball past centre.
Johfison called Reval into ruck in an
attempt to stop South. but the city team
still went ahead Two more goals came
from Munro and Kl Lo?n . South's five
scoring shots-had brought goals.
V. Johnson fell heavily in gomin for
the knock-out at the next bounce. Port
went forward in a series of rushes. They
were .makin many mistakes. of which
South took full advantage. N. Hender
aind Ritch ~oaled after a hard battle by
Port.
South went ahead again, and Munro
,scored their sixth goal. In the last few
minutees of t~he term Port got their third
goal from N. T Hinder.
