Firm joins
dental
plan
A Melbourne - based
company with 160 employees
has joined the
Australian Dental Association's
non-profit cooperative
dental healthinsurance
plan,
The company, Engelhard
Industries Pty Ltd, of
Thomastown, is the first to
join the scheme, which is
operated by Australian
Dental Plans Ltd.
The scheme, announced
in October, 1971, and
launched in October last
year, proposes contracts
with large groups, such as
trade unions, employers,
co-operatives, and clubs
and associations, to pro'
vide comprehensive dental
care for members and dependants.
The company pays an
annual premium and> the
employees go to the dentist
of their choice.
If the dentist is a member
of ADP the patient
pays only 25% of the bill
and ADP pays the remainder
direct to the dentist. In
other cases the patient
claims from ADP.
$
