We- started pur meetings this year
on.April 2., On that day Airs. Bow
man and her two daughters and Miss
.Hodge, visited the Girt Guides and
Brownies. V Miss;Daphne Bowman .and
Miss Hodgetaught us a number of
singing gamek In the evening the Girl
./Guides' birthday tea-was held in the
institute;-if very, pleasant evening- was
epent.
Some weeks ago we took the
Brownies for a walk into the scrub near
the high school for observation. They
.had a lively time playing games, ob
serving birds, trees, etc. During' the
week the Brownies wrote an essay on
all that had happened: and what "they
had seen in the' , scrub. They gave
their iessays to ■ the Tawny -.Owl, who
reported them excellent.
. -On April 23, Marjorie Morant flew
up Into the Guides! ^ Two. new
Brownies have joined this: year mak
