Mrs Nadia Bou-Lattoui' owes a lot to the Italian-Arabic dictionary in the picture. On July 9, when the Achille Lauro in which she was travelling to Australia was in the middle of the Indian Ocean, Dr Ennio Tiso, left, the ship's doctor, found that little Maria was about to arrive. Dr Tiso could speak only English and Italian and Mrs Bou-Lattouf only Arabic so the dictionary was used to give her simple instructions. Help
