"MISFIRED"
Gun Down Throat
SHOOTING OUTCOME
SYDNEY, Monday.
Robert Duncan (34), a labourer,
was remanded at the Parramatta
Police Court to-day on a charge
of having, at Auburn, shot at Wil-
liam Moxley with intent to mur-
der.
Constable Sheehan said that he in-
terviewed Moxley, but the latter told
him "to go to hell," saying he would
himself get ssquare with the man who
shot him.
Moxley, it is understood, then stated
that he drove two men everywhere
during Saturday afternoon in his own
car, yet some hours later they tried
to shoot him like a dog.
"They knew I did not have a gun,"
he added. "They never gave me a
chance. I told them to get away, but
when they saw that I was still alive,
one of them pushed a gun into my
mouth and down my throat and
pulled the trigger.
"There was a click, but the gun
misfired.
"I thought it was all up. I pulled
the gun from my mouth, pushed the
man aiway, started the car, and drove
down the street, when I collapsed."
