THE FATALITY AT FULLERTON.
Our Golspie correspondont writes:—A most
shocking fatality occurred last week at Fuller
ton, whereby a well-known resident of that
locality, Mr. William J. Allport, lost his life.
From particulars received I understand Mr.
Allport was returning home from Crookwell
alone in a sulky, with a horse tied beside the
one he was driving. By some means he was
thrown from the sulky, and was found some
time afterwards in an unconscious condition,
being severely injured about the head. He lin-
gered for some hours, but never regained con
sciouness. An inquest was held by the Crook-
well Coroner, and the funeral took place at the
Bolong cemetery on Sunday. Mr. Allport was a
young man in the prime of his life, and leaves
a widow and three small children. He was wide-
ly known in shearing circles as one of the fast
est machine shearers in the State.
