EXTRAVAGANT PRINCE,
Hohenzollern Discipline.
London,' Saturday.—An Amsterdam,
report says the German Emperor won
a sensational lawsuit, allowing him to
place his nephew, Prince Frederick Leo-
pold, under restraint on the ground
that the prince was a spendthrift. This
has caused indignation in Germany, as
the prince is popular. It is widely, be-
lieved that he is the victim of a plot
engineered by Major yon Heydt, a spy-
tutor, such as is attached to each
Hohenzollern prince. The prince's par-
ents resent.the Emperor's action. They
admit the prince spent £100,000 a year,
but he was never in debt. His father
is worth £2,500,000, being the richest
prince in Germany. The spy-tutor al-
leged that the prince lived an immoral
life, under pretence of being an artist.
The prince's brother. Frederick
Charles, was an airman, and was killed
on' the Australian front in 1917.
