FLEW THROUGH
MONSOON
MELBOURNE, Wed.
Two Australians were members
of the ciew of a' Wellington
bomber, which with its instru-
ments and radio out of action,
successfully fought its way
thirough a monsoon off the coast
of India.
The plane was hurled about like
a cork Thrown out of adjustment
the wireless and lnter-commun
ications system became unservice-
able and the cylinder head tem-
perature dropped from 200 to 75
degrees
Australian members of the
crew were Pilot-Officer Frank
Maddox,"of Gerogery (Albury),
and Pilot-Officer Alan Ruwald, of
